It is time to be True Conservatives

With the attacks on Rush Limbaugh in the past week, it has become quite evident that there are pundits and politicians that say they are “Republicans” and “Conservatives” that are NOT. They go from talk show to talk show and write for blogs, Internet sites, and news magazines claiming to be Conservative and telling other Conservatives how and what to be.

Well, you have had your time. You had your policies. You had your candidate. And…you lost. None of it worked. So, these RINOs, which are many, need to shut up and sit down.

Now, it is our turn. The True Conservatives. Our candidates have won. Our ideas have worked when they are tried. By the way, we out number all of you, Liberals and Moderates combined. So, don’t go away mad, just go away.

These attacks on Conservatism have always been there from the Left and the center, because we are a threat to them. Our principles have worked and there’s don’t. We take the power from them and give it to the People. So, these traitors in the Republican Party have always been there and have always been trying to keep Conservatism down. They have tried to get along with Democrats and try to combine our policies with theirs. They along with Liberals have put us down and have told us we are backward and plain ignorant. They have told the world we are wrong.

There are a few problems with all of that, beside it is factually incorrect.. First, I can name countless intellectual Conservatives. So, we are not ignorant. Are you? I don’t think so. Second, Conservative principles have always worked and I call on anyone to prove where “true” Conservative ideas did not. They do not work when Liberalism and Socialism are interjected into issues and interferes with Conservative principles and creates situations like we are in now.

So, we need to stand up and express to all what “true” Conservatism is. We have a serious PR war with these soft, weak Republicans who have tried to get along with Liberals and rebrand Conservatism into this new pseudo-Conservatism, which does not work, exemplified by Bush, McCain, and so many others.

So, what is a “true” Conservative? Unlike others who complicate this issue, let’s start with the basics. We must have politicians that believe in personal responsibility, limited government and a strong defense. Then, we can add a strong belief in life, liberty, and personal property. We can go from there.

Again, we have to turn back this rebranding and it will take time, so we will need to start simple to show the new generation what we are all about. Keep in mind, when I am reprogramming my children from their Liberal education, I keep it simple and they understand it. They are still in elementary school and they get it. They cannot understand Liberalism but Conservatism makes complete sense to them. So, I think we can teach others, adults, Conservatism.

Also, there has been a call for a “leader” for the Republicans. Well…it is not time for that right now. First things first. It is time to find “true” Conservatives and get them elected to your local governments, state governments, and Congress. It is time for them to explain Conservatism and create a political PR campaign for and about Conservatism. With that backdrop, a leader will emerge. That leader will then have the grassroots support to take back the White House. That leader will be able to keep these RINOs in their place and quiet. That leader will be able to turn back this entire Socialist agenda and bring America back to her true principles.

So, these weak Republicans need shut up. We, “true” Conservatives need to rise up and take back the Republican Party and elect politicians who speak for us and the majority of America. Remember we outnumber them.

This new revolution is needed to save this nation from the new pseudo-Conservatives and Liberals who are trashing our nation, our values, and our future.

  1. Obama didn't win by being a pseudo-liberal. Conservatives won't win by being like John McCain.

  2. That's what I'm talking about. Your feeling the frustration, or starting to express the frustration many of us have felt for years with the GOP as the only guideline.

We know what it is to be REAL conservatives. Both parties have strayed so far from what they were intended to be.

Starting to be frustrated? I have always felt as Conservative, a citizen, without a party. Our government has strayed from our founding principles.

  4. Ah, but earlier you said that history shows that a third party will not work and I still disagree. People want to see real conservatism.

Yes, as I have said, historically a third party seems not a good option and seems counterproductive. I see your point. My opinion still is it seems more productive to kick out the RINOs and Blue Bloods from the GOP and take it back for Conservatism.

  6. You're kidding, right? This country's been ransacked by your "true conservatives" for the last 30 years.

Here's a little something for you to chew on:

“As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality.” — George Washington

    Remember that guy?

Excellent quote! He is exactly correct. The Founders were Liberals of their day. Jefferson, Madison, and Franklin were all Liberals. They believed in our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Of course, they did. They wrote it. Liberalism in their day believed in life, liberty, and freedom, private property rights, and most importantly equality. Yesteryear’s Liberal is today’s Conservatives. Conservatives’ principles are of the Founders.

Liberals of today believe in the exact opposite of principles in Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They support principles that directly oppose what Washington said in your quote, especially equality. Liberalism of today is Socialism. Liberalism of today is about a larger, more powerful government that seizes the People freedoms, liberties, property, and the like.

Crispyduck, the Liberalism of the last 90 years since Wilson has destroyed our families, our values, our economy, our rights, our equality, our government, and mainly Republic.

Here is a quote for you (if you don’t know who he is look him up),” "Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude." -- Alexis de Tocqueville

  8. Yeah. Equality for everyone except gays, minorities, non-Christians, foreigners, the poor and, of course, the environment.

Your "conservativism" couldn't be farther from the founder's ideals.

You just want the rich to own us, admit it. The good General would never approve.

I beg your pardon but Washington would approve of conservatism, because it is his principles and values. He along with other Founders and political philosophers like Locke, Burke and others expressed the same principles and values that Conservatives stand by today.

In regards, to gays, minorities, non-Christians, foreigners, the poor and, of course, the environment, let’s break this down a little. If Washington and the Founders saw Obama as President they would be proud, especially Franklin and Thomas Paine. Both of who appalled slavery. Conservatives have supported minorities more than any other political philosophy in America. Republicans (Conservatives) freed the slaves and fought for the equal rights amendment and laws. Democrats (Liberals) fought against both. Al Gore’s father filibustered the Equal Rights Act. So, we have supported and fought for minorities’ rights. Republicans have placed more minorities in the highest positions in government, not Democrats, for example Justice Marshall, Justice Thomas, Condi Rice, Collin Powell, and others.

About the environment, many Conservative are for clean air, land, and water. Many Conservative are outdoor enthusiasts who want to protect nature. I am one. I don’t want the government to do what it is doing now. Creating such overwhelm regulations that violate the People’s private property rights and inhibit business to the point they go overseas or shutter businesses.

In reference to gays and non-Christians, it is true that Conservatives base their political values on Judeo-Christian values. People that disobey these values many times are sinners. I am a sinner as well as everyone else. It is not for me to judge. That is for God. These people are welcome to the political discussion as long as they understand that their character will be considered. All leaders should be judged on their character. If they cannot show they are an ethical and a moral person, they should not be in a leadership role. Non-Christians and gays can meet this so I don’t have a problem with them.

Now, for the poor. Wealth is the best remedy for poverty. Ben Franklin said, “I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it.” It is immoral and inhumane to encourage poverty and suffering. The poor need to be assisted out of poverty, not trapped or encouraged to stay there. All Liberal programs, especially LBJ’s “Great Society” programs, trapped or encouraged the poor to stay poor. Today’s welfare system as Obama has restructured it does this. It keeps them poor for the Liberals’ cruel political agenda. Conservatives did not do that. Obama and Pelosi did that. Conservatives changed welfare in the 90s to promote people to leave the welfare rolls, get jobs, and become productive people in society and they made more income than when they were on welfare.

So, see, the Liberal agenda would make Washington and the Founders cry in shame. They trap people in poverty to create a voters block. They create environmental regulations that violate Capitalistic principles and private property rights. They support politicians that are unethical and immoral and allow them to violate the law. They support agendas that encourage discrimination of people based on religion, race, ethnicity, marriage status, etc. They shout down the People’s god-given rights, freedoms, and liberties of speech, religion, and others for their own special interests and desire of power and greed. Liberalism is the antithesis of American principles.

  10. No, liberalism is the notion that all are created equal and deserve the protections of a civil, SECULAR government.

You guys have perverted the concepts of the Declaration and Constitution to be wholly representative of the freedom of capital. That was not the founders' intention - they despised landed gentry - though, admittedly commerce was a portion of the formula. Then again, the Boston Tea Party was a response to a TAX CUT on the East India Company.

George Washington was criticized by the clergy for never attending Christian services while in office and is said to have privately despised the church. We all know how Jefferson felt about the "divine" aspects of the New Testament - he cut them out of his copy.

The Dixiecrats, last remnants of the bitter southern landowners, took over the Republican party after civil rights. That's well established. Maybe you're not who you think you are.
